Following the tremendous success of our premiere in Graz, the international photography exhibition “View From Above” has now opened its second edition in Augsburg, Germany. As the curator and producer of this project, I’m proud to announce that what began as a bold concept—bringing space photography into immersive, urban environments—has now evolved into a touring format across Europe.
From Orbit to Augsburg: The Journey Continues
The exhibition features over 120 large-scale photographs taken by former NASA astronaut Terry Virts during his time on the International Space Station (ISS). These images capture the fragile beauty of Earth, the vastness of space, and the reality of daily life aboard the ISS. Paired with a unique audio guide voiced by Virts himself, visitors are taken on a deeply personal journey through the cosmos.
After testing the concept in Graz and receiving overwhelming feedback from the public, press, and sponsors, we have now installed the exhibition in the historic Bahnpark Augsburg—a location that perfectly contrasts old industrial power with the futuristic theme of space exploration.

“View From Above” was designed to travel. Our modular infrastructure allows us to transform non-traditional venues into immersive exhibition spaces. The goal is to create accessible cultural experiences in high-footfall locations while offering something intellectually and emotionally meaningful. We are already planning further editions in other European cities.
